The Icecarl way of cooking fresh meat is likely different than what many are used to. [Since everything else seems to be...!] Tell me what is considered "properly" cooked.
[I love the mental image of these two just deadpanning at each other because I feel like that's probably what's going on right now.]
I am certain this meat can be eaten raw. The blubber and flippers are similar enough to our Selski, though much smaller. But if they will not be eaten, I will use them for other purposes.
I will cook the meat in a stew or a pan. This should be acceptable.
...I think I'll stick with the cooked meat. Just to be safe. [She doesn't know much about narwhal consumption. She knows the horns are sometimes used in arcane rituals, but not much beyond that.]
Are you experienced with cooking?
[She's not. She got so frustrated by cup sizes that she exploded the oven.]
[She really is... a little more willing to explode with potent rage, but otherwise yeah...]
A Shield Maiden must be able to feed herself on the ice.
It is not my preferred task, but it is necessary.
[It. Doesn't exactly answer the question but it'll be fine???? Probably?? She'll just sniff everything in the kitchen and throw it in a pot, that's how you make stew right?]
[i cannot tell you how jarring it is to see Milla described as "kind," even if she's a good girl in her very feral way]
You mean about Zelos and Simon.
[It's not phrased as a question, but it is a question. Because while her answer to how she's feeling would be "fine," other people dissemble a lot more than Icecarls do when it comes to talking about difficult things.]
cw: discussion of animal death
You must treat slain animals with respect. It would be disrespectful to leave it here to rot.

[She's not too fazed. After the shit she's seen, it's uh. Yeah.]
Seems callous to use it for something like murder and then just leaving it here.

[Frown.]
Though I do not know how many here will care to eat it. Most are used to food that is provided, not sought.

I would eat it.
[She used to be a vegetarian but like, not so much after the apocalypse happened.]

[Not her, but like... Milla please.]

But I would not say no if you offered to tell the others that it will be available. It is rude to hoard food.

...
Other than the narwhal... how are you feeling?
